The design of stormwater management
systems is evolving. Engineers and planners cannot manage
stormwater using practices of the last several decades. New
and future rules will simply not allow it. Just like
detention basins, designs that incorporate infiltration,
water quality treatment, and stream bank protection will
change dramatically over the next several years as we learn
more about design and maintenance. Consequently,
engineering and planning firms that understand and are
involved with research on these new practices will have an
advantage over those firms that do not.
In 2002, The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental
Protection (PADEP) and Villanova University’s Department of
Civil and Environmental Engineering formed the Villanova
Urban Stormwater Partnership (VUSP). The mission of the
VUSP is to advance the understanding of comprehensive
stormwater management through research on practical issues
and transfer of information to the public and private
sector. We need your participation for 2013. Your
financial assistance contributes to the funding of our
research. Additionally, we need the practical experience
that your organization can provide to ensure that we
investigate practical problems and propose practical
solutions.
The
links below define the participation options and benefits.
Please contact us to discuss details of our organization and
the possibility that you will join. |

The VUSP offers several levels of participation and the choice of
participating from a membership or contribution basis,
depending upon your needs. Contact
