Papers emerging from the BIOGEOMON 2012 conference will be published in a special issue of the journal Biogeochemistry through a peer-review process.
Those wishing to submit manuscripts for publication in Biogeochemistry from this symposium should upload a copy of their extended abstract to this the journals' online submission website (http://www.editorialmanager.com/biog/), choosing "S.I.: Biogeomon 2012" from the "Please Select an Article Type" dropdown menu. The deadline for extended abstract submission is 1 August 2012. The abstracts will be pre-reviewed by the guest editors, Drs. Dale Johnson, Melanie Vile and Kel Wieder, for suitability for publication in Biogeochemistry Special issue.
Invitations to submit full papers will be issue by 15 September 2012; invited manuscripts will be due by 16 November 2012. Please consider the scope of Biogeochemistry (below) while considering whether to submit your abstract or not.
Biogeochemistry publishes original and synthetic papers dealing with biotic controls on the chemistry of the environment, or with the geochemical control of the structure and function of ecosystems. Cycles are considered, either of individual elements or of specific classes of natural or anthropogenic compounds in ecosystems. Particular emphasis is given to coupled interactions of element cycles. The journal spans from the molecular to global scales to elucidate the mechanisms driving patterns in biogeochemical cycles through space and time. Studies on both natural and artificial ecosystems are published when they contribute to a general understanding of biogeochemistry.
