The
Department of Modern
Languages and Literatures of
Villanova University
will host a three-day
international conference celebrating the 400th anniversary of the publication
of the first part of
Miguel de Cervantes´ foundational novel,
Don
Quixote. The conference will focus on aspects of the Quixote
itself and the text’s ongoing contributions to literature, art, music and
life: the Cervantine legacy.
The conference
features a Cervantine book exhibit and reception at the
Falvey
Memorial Library, a staged reading of
La cueva de Salamanca
and a banquet at the
Villanova
Conference Center
