This year, Civil Engineering students enrolled in CEE 4611 will be working on two different projects. One half of the group will revisit the location of the water treatment system installed last year. The other half of the group will be investigating the feasibility of installing a solar-powered auxiliary pump to augment the water supply. Over Spring break, a group 12 undergraduates and two faculty members will be traveling to the orphanage. The mission trips are co-sponsored by the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department and Campus Ministry, and incorporate all aspects of a service learning experience (preparation, service, reflection, and celebration).
