Classes will run from 8/24 - 12/10 except for the following
days/classes:
9/7: Labor Day, no classes
10/11-10/18: Fall Break,
no classes
11/6: Classes in Alumni Gym are canceled
11/24: No Pilates or Step and Sculpt class. There will be
a noon yoga class.
11/25 - 11/29: Thanksgiving Break

Group Exercise Registration Policies:
1.)
Registration for classes in the Davis Center will begin 1/2 hour before class starts and can be
made at that time by phone at 9-3539 (no voice messages), or in person at the front desk in the
Davis Center Fitness Area. (Classes in Alumni Gym and Butler
Annex don't require sign
ups).
2.) Class size will be limited to 25 participants in
Davis Center Exercise Studio and the Step and Sculpt class in
Alumni Gym.
3.) All who have pre-registered must arrive at the group
exercise studio

minutes before the class starts,
or
risk losing their spot in the class.
4.) All participants must show their WILDCARD to the
Instructor to gain access into the class. Individuals must
also sign an informed consent/waiver of liability before
participating in class.
5.) When all pre-registered participants have entered, if
class is not full it will be opened on a first come, first serve
basis.
6.) Friends of Villanova can not pre-register for a class, but may have access once
the class is opened on a first come, first serve basis by
presenting their Friends of Villanova card. (Alumni and spouses
of Faculty and Staff aren't
eligible to take group exercise classes.)
7.) Classes will start promptly at their designated
starting times. |

Boot
Camp |
- Athletic
drills, speed and agility work as well as muscle toning and
abdominal work equal a high
intensity work out designed to build strength and endurance for
all participates. Please wear sneakers,
bring water bottles, and get ready for an energetic cardio
filled work out. |

Step
and Sculpt |
-
This rhythmic cardio workout will have you stepping up, onto,
around, and down from an elevated platform to help build
cardiovascular endurance. In this class, you will learn the
basic steps and movements necessary for fun and energetic
combinations, giving you a total body workout. Throughout the
class, students can work at their own pace and comfort level so
that they leave feeling energized and de-stressed! Welcome
aboard! |

Kick
Box |
-
Kickboxing is a martial arts based cardio workout. In this class
you will learn basic punches and kicks to help build muscle,
coordination and energize your body. Every class is designed to
give you a total body workout from punches and kicks to core
strengthening and control helping to create a lean looking body. |

Pilates |
-
Pilates is designed to strengthen the core and back, elongate
and tone muscles, and improve posture. Modifications are
offered to enhance or decrease intensity. |

class will build strength, balance, flexibility, and focus using
basic hatha yoga poses. |

Wednesday |
Ashtanga Yoga, This is a class which integrates both physical
and spiritual challenge for strength, flexibility and peace of
mind. This practice includes flow, pranayama breathing and
deep relaxation. |

Thursday |
This
class will introduce yoga postures and sequences that emphasize
“breath” with movement. Flexibility, balance and form as well as
the connection to mind, body and spirit. Modifications will be
given. All levels welcome. |

Friday |
This class will build strength, balance, flexibility, and
focus using basic hatha yoga poses. |
