Moving basics: standing basics with added motion to build proper footwork technique.
Empty-hand drills: series of hand offense and defense techniques done with partners, the beginning of the way to free sparring.
Empty-hand katas: standardized routines incorporating elements of standing and moving basics.
Weapons: drills and katas integrating various weapons, including bo, jo, eku, ton-bo, tonfa, chizicun-bo, kama, nunchaku, and sai.
Groundwork: drills to destabilize opponents and immobilize them on the ground through various submission techniques.
We meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 – 9:30 PM and Sundays from 12 to 2:30 PM in the Alumni Gym.
Our workout offers rigorous physical training, which develops stamina, coordination, and balance. Regular training pushes students to their personal limits, challenging them to stretch those limits further with each workout. As a result, students improve their mental and physical self-discipline, self-awareness, and self-confidence.
