Happy Hollow Recreation Center

4800 Wayne Ave.
Philadelphia, PA 19144

215.685.2195

Happy Hollow Recreation Center, located in a primarily African-American, economically struggling area of the Germantown section of Philadelphia, offers many programs for local youth and is always looking for devoted volunteers to help make the programs better. Located in a building that is over 100 years old, the Center is funded through the city of Philadelphia; however, it also does independent fundraising in order to provide more resources to the programs.

The volunteer opportunities that exist may be of particular interest to Education majors, Human Services majors, Peace and Justice minors, acting students, and anyone with talents that could be shared with youth, e.g. tumbling instruction, computer skills, performing arts
