Volunteer Opportunities:

The Food Bank is able to accommodate groups of up to thirty people. Volunteers sort, repack, and label food in the warehouse to prepare it for distribution.

When:

  • Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., except holidays

  • Every third Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 12 to 3 pm.

Volunteering opportunities also exist to assist with the planning and execution of special events like the Food Bank’s fundraising dinner and trade show.

Kate is a ‘97 graduate of Villanova ( B.A. in General Arts). While a student at Villanova, Kate received the Harold F. Hartman Medallion for excellence and was inducted into both the Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies. She was an AIDS Peer Educator (1994-97), Resident Assistant (1995-97), Writing Center Tutor (1995-97) and a Habitat for Humanity volunteer. After graduation, Kate was a Notre Dame AmeriCorps volunteer for Kids in Partnership, Redwood City, CA (1997-98) and an At-Risk Youth Counselor, Pine Street Girls’ Group Home (1998-2000).
