Who are the Villanova Haveners?
As a subgroup of the lovely Villanova Voices, the Haveners are the oldest all-female a cappella ensemble at Villanova University. Past members have toured the United States, in places like Richmond and Boston, as well as performed in European countries like Spain and Italy. Currently, the Haveners are thirteen spunky girls that range from a past opera diva to an intense sports enthusiast. Feminine, yet fiery. The group picks its own music, generally from pop, country and R&B genres. All of the girls love singing and performing, and hope that you love what we do, too! And, to whom it may concern: the "significance" of the name Haveners to Villanova is…non-existent. The founding members actually named the group after their home town of New Haven, Connecticut. And, even though none of the current Haveners reside there, it's still our name. Go figure! But at least we got our own lovable and very unique name out of it. |
