Pre-Symposium Municipal Workshop
'Municipal Stormwater Management - Strategies for Success’

Held at Villanova University - October 11-13, 2005

Mission Statement:  The purpose of the symposium is to advance the knowledge and understanding of comprehensive stormwater management for those dealing in all aspects of land development planning, design and implementation and regulatory compliance.

  • Bringing Together:
Engineers, Planners, Water Resource Professionals, Regional, State and Local Government Representatives, Land Development Professionals, and Watershed and Conservation Groups.

Symposium Information: Villanova is again hosting the 2005 Pennsylvania Stormwater Management Symposium on 12 - 13 October 2005.  The symposium will consist of a variety of panels, speakers, tours, and paper sessions.

Pre-Symposium Workshop: Oct. 11th - ‘Municipal Stormwater Management - Strategies for Success’ (A Workshop for Non-Engineers) This workshop is designed for elected and appointed municipal officials and other individuals involved in aspects of the land development process outside of the engineering design field. Agenda topics will include municipal liability under state stormwater reg, MS4 NPDES Phase II Permits/TMDLs, stormwater authorities/utilities panel discussion and comprehensive financing strategies.

WebCast Information:    Both the Municipal Workshop and the Symposium were broadcasted live over the internet and recorded.  To watch the proceedings, you want to try the STREAMING version.  Streaming means you will be receiving "packets" during the broadcast.  Some firewalls do not allow this.  An alternative is to view the recorded session by either STREAMING or by DOWNLOADING the files.  Warning - when DOWNLOADING - the files are very large.
