Villanova Voices


Director: Christine Nass

           

     Christine Nass is in her second year as Villanova Voices director, after joining the group as
guest conductor on its spring '07 tour to Spain.    Ms. Nass is a professional singer in the Philadelphia region and beyond,
and has recently sung at the Spoleto festival, Italy; Bard Summerscape in NY, and performs regularly with the Opera
Company of Philadelphia, The Choral Arts Society of Philadelphia, and The Philadelphia Singers.  Ms. Nass' conducting
experience includes nearly twenty years as Church Music Director at local Russian Orthodox Churches and as assistant
             conductor for the Temple University Chorale.  She studied conducting with Gail Poch and Janet Yamron (both of Temple
 University), and Mark Bailey (of the Yale Male Russian Chorus).  Ms. Nass has a Masters of Music in Voice from Temple
 University and has studied privately with Jerome LoMonaco, Vittorio Rosetta, and most recently with Thomas Houser.   
She also teaches various music courses for the Villanova Honors Department.
