Campus Ministry

The Office of Mission and Ministry, and all of the Centers within it, joins with other parts of our University community in expressing our deep sadness and regret about recent acts of violence, intimidation, and hostility performed by some members of the Villanova community.  As an Office we remain firmly committed to our University Mission in upholding and protecting the dignity of every person within our community, especially those that have been particularly  marginalized and targeted.  No human being should face any level of assault, verbal abuse, or any other attempt to attack her/his dignity.  Anyone engaging in this behavior will be asked to leave any events we host.  We stand in solidarity and offer our care and support to anyone on our campus who has been harmed or intimidated in any way.  And we will act to protect anyone who feels threatened or fearful for any reason, regardless of race, religion, class, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or political affiliation.

Our offices and our staff are available to support anyone looking for a safe place.  We look to collaborate with other parts of the University to provide specific opportunities for our community to come together and support one another in the coming weeks, especially those feeling particularly vulnerable for any reason.

The Office of Mission and Ministry also offers the following upcoming opportunities for dialogue, reflection, and shared prayer.

Retreats

Campus Ministry Retreats provide opportunities for students from all faith backgrounds to reflect on their spiritual values, step back from their regular routine, hear the faith stories of fellow students, and understand the Catholic and Augustinian values of the University.

Campus Ministry Internship Program

Our Campus Ministry Interns (CMIs) are graduate students who live in the first and second year residence halls in order to build community on their floor and in their building. They each run a weekly small group conversation, called Get Real, to encourage students to be themselves and develop honest friendships. Meet the CMIs nearest you.
